Police have reported that a pint cup loaded with money was hurled during a football game, injuring a 15-year-old girl in a "malicious act."
According to Greater Manchester Police, the incident took place on December 22 at around 20:25 GMT at the Etihad Stadium during the EFL Cup game between Manchester City and Liverpool.
According to the force, the cup was hurled from a higher to a lower tier.
According to police, the girl received hospital treatment for a head injury.

The police will "not allow violent or hostile behavior in any situation, including football matches or sporting events," according to Sup Int Gareth Parking.
"We are continuing to look into this event," he added. "I would ask anyone who was at the game and knows who is accountable or might know anything that could help us further to please come forward."
